With the focus on providing both strategic and tactical HR support to senior management in Asia, these are just some of the specific roles and assignments that would make the best use of my experience and background in an Asian setting:

  • Providing interim human resources leadership to fill a short-term need in a specialist, project based or regional capacity

  • Reviewing the business aspirations of organizations with no established HR function in Asia and recommending an HR strategy and organization that would help fulfill these aspirations.

  • Undertaking an evaluation of the programs and capabilities of an existing Asia-based HR function to ensure that its focus and direction are fully aligned strategically with what the business needs to deliver.

  • Leading projects to design and implement talent development and performance management/reward programs at country or pan-regional level.

  • Helping new managers adapt to working in Asia; providing coaching and counseling in a wide range of fields related to workforce management and organizational effectiveness.

  • Setting up and reviewing existing inter-country employee assignment programs both within the region and globally.

  • Offering HR expertise in M&A, JV or divestiture activity or a reduction in workforce.

  • Rolling out global HR programs in Asia to ensure they are accepted, properly embedded and legally compliant.
